Melting Point takes what others may overlook — rusted car parts and pieces of scrap scattered through the desert — and transforms them into artworks that celebrate the stories, histories and memories held within. By melting and reshaping these objects, Robert Fielding (Western Arrernte and Yankunytjatjara) is not just transforming material, but telling a bigger story — about resilience, about Tjukurpa, and about First Nations peoples’ relationship with land that never ends.
